Updates!

It's been a while since I last posted.  Things have been. . . crazy.  I took on a new job this year.  I'm directing the choir at the middle school and although my hours are part time (7:40-11:30) it is feeling more and more like it is not a part-time job.  Maybe this is because I am close to the Winter Concert and things are CRAZY but there's a definite learning curve and I expend a ton of energy every morning.  There is much to learn and I'm not the best with learning how to organize paperwork.  I'm trying to motivate kids and parents to be more involved.  We have our 1st fundraiser this weekend.  We'll see how this goes.
On top of some of this, Christian's work schedule is a little off.  He works 11:30-8 which brings him home at around 8:30 pm every night.  This is great for babysitting (I leave the house at 6:15 am and get home by noon most days) since he can be with Claire most of the morning but we really don't see much of each other during the week.  I miss dinner with him, putting Claire to bed with him and talking to him at the end of the day. Since I get up to work so early in the morning, I tend to go to bed an hour or two after he gets home.  He's still working on getting his MS degree so, often, I fall asleep to him typing away in the loft.  I feel like we are going 100 miles a second, all the time. He will be done with everything in April and will, hopefully, walk at the end of May.
May. That brings me to why I said "hopefully."  Turns out Claire is going to be a big sister sometime this May. We are very, very excited.  The timing is not "perfect" in our minds, but our minds are so limited.  Christian is supposed to walk around the new baby's "due date" (although, I'm somewhat opposed to "due dates" because of my own beliefs and feelings about birth) and the baby is "due" 9 days before my Spring Concert.  Yup.  I know the One who blessed us with this new life knows what the end of my school year will look like and just the right person to take my choir kids.  He knows how important it is for Christian to be able to walk at graduation.  Christian's worked so hard.  Seems small in comparison to the rest of the world and its issues, but these are big to us.  So we wait, patiently, for all of this to unfold.
We find out the gender the week before or after Christmas.  Neither of us can wait!
